Evolution of A Soul

Evolution of A Soul”, 35″ x 32″ original mixed media acrylic on canvas. I painted over an older canvas intuitively leaving just a few hints of the previous image. I chose to lighten color palette and without intention, a figure-like image emerged. I completed the piece by adding some textural elements, actual snake skins that I used on a monotype series. The snake symbolizes renewal and transition as it sheds its skin.
